Partnering with Parents: Shared Trust, Shared Growth

We believe that student wellbeing is most powerful when school and home work in harmony. At WK, we are reimagining parent engagement as a proactive, two-way partnership rooted in trust, clarity, and mutual care. We are deliberate about our connection with the Parents Staff Association. Parent–school collaboration is especially vital in navigating the complex realities young people face today—including digital hygiene, time management, social pressures, and mental health. Future sessions for parents will focus on supporting adolescents through these challenges, drawing from both UWC values and expert insight. We are also working to create spaces for parents to connect with one another—building a web of community care that supports students from all sides. In this partnership, parents are not guests at the table—they are co-creators in shaping a healthy, humanising school culture. Because when students see the adults in their lives aligned, they are more likely to feel safe, known, and free to grow.
