Activities: Purpose, Play, and Possibility
Student activities at WK are designed to ignite imagination, nurture leadership, and foster a vibrant sense of community beyond the classroom. With a rich mix of sports, clubs, student councils, and community rituals like Town Halls, students are encouraged to explore their passions while learning how to lead and collaborate. Our Clubs Catalogue reflects an ever-expanding universe of student-led initiatives—from science clubs to storytelling spaces—each grounded in UWC values of agency and service. Sport continues to grow as a site of inclusion and teamwork, with over 400 students participating across multiple teams and codes. Coaches receive safeguarding training, and ongoing conversations about team culture ensure that participation is not just about competition, but character. Through student–adult partnership protocols, learners are actively shaping the culture of engagement, making co-curricular life not an add-on, but a vital dimension of the student journey. Community Nights and cultural celebrations weave belonging into the fabric of school life, reminding us that joy, creativity, and ritual are essential to how we grow. At WK, activities are where courage meets celebration.
