Latest Stories - International Inter-schools Athletics 2018

On Saturday 22^nd September 2018, Waterford hosted the annual international inter-schools athletics on Waterford campus.   

This year the school hosted the American International School of Mozambique. Unfortunately, other schools were unable to attend due to various reasons and so the event was held between Waterford and AISM. There were a number of different events in which the athletes participated. These include 3000m, 1800m, 800m long-distance running, 400m, 200m and 100m short-distance, high jump, long jump, shotput, discus, and javelin throw. All the athletes were highly motivated to try their best to gain the medals. By the end of the day, both Waterford and AISM were tired but excited about their results. Waterford came in first position and AISM came second. 

This year's international inter-schools athletics was rather small but still as exciting, and was successful.
