Welcome

Welcome to the virtual version of Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA, a school with a rallying call for the community to work together for justice in Africa. For 60 years, we have produced action-oriented and thought leaders for the African continent and the world, proving that young people can look and work beyond the barriers set by societal injustice to create a peaceful, welcoming environment that doesn’t judge an individual based on their race, religion, or socio-economic status.
Through our dynamic programme, anchored in the UWC Education Model, we empower young people and help them reach their potential - academically, morally, socially, and emotionally. We are proud to deliver a value-based education that fosters the development of critical skills and the confidence for students to thrive in our world.
Most importantly, we believe in the UWC mission of making education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Established in clear and direct opposition to apartheid South Africa, the College has a great legacy around diversity, equity, inclusivity, and justice. As we celebrate Waterford Kamhlaba’s 60th-anniversary milestone, we commit to upholding and advancing this legacy. We also commit to continue providing quality international education through which we shall produce leaders who will positively impact the world.
