Latest Stories - Christof Bosch Addresses Waterford’s Assembly
On Thursday 9th August 2018 Dr. Christof Bosch addressed Waterford’s end of term 2 assembly.
Dr. Christof Bosch, who is the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in Germany, arrived on Waterford campus on Wednesday 8th August in the company of his wife and two children. During their stay they interacted with students and staff at Waterford on Thursday 9th August before addressing the closing assembly. Dr. Bosch is a friend of UWC. During his assembly address, he expressed his family’s appreciation for the warm reception at Waterford.
The end of term assembly was characterized by musical performances, poetry and great speeches. The school got an opportunity to bid farewell to outgoing members of staff who will not be coming back in term 3. “We would like to thank the volunteers and staff for their valuable contribution to our community,” Donovan King, the school’s Deputy Principal (pastoral).
Waterford’s principal Stephen Lowry thanked the Bosch for their visit. He also asked the students to use the upcoming holidays to rest.
