On Saturday 29 July 2023, Waterford Kamhlaba will celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The programme for the day has already been published and the school is looking forward to welcoming guests to campus as it celebrates this milestone together. For 60 years, the school has produced action-oriented and thought leaders for the African continent and the world, proving that young people can look and work beyond the barriers set by societal injustice to create a peaceful, welcoming environment that doesn’t judge an individual based on their race, religion, or socio-economic status.

Waterford Principal, Jackie Otuala, said:

“We are excited about this event and we really want each one of us to be a part of it and enjoy this amazing event. We have a number of exciting items in store for all participants: live music, food, craft stalls, and games!”
