On Saturday 11 June 2022
Waterford had a Braai Day for its Eswatini-based alumni.
The event was a great success and
over 50 alumni participated. Some of the
alumni who came had not been able to come up to the Waterford campus for some
time because of the covid-19 pandemic. Some had not had a chance to meet and
greet the school’s Principal, Patricia Angoy, who came right in the middle of
the Covid pandemic in 2020.
The event presented an
opportunity for WK alumni not only to see the school and new developments but
also to reconnect and meet some of the school’s staff members who work closely
with alumni on a daily basis. The day started with a tour of campus to show alumni
recent updates to the school’s infrastructure and other areas. At the end of
the day, the alumni were able to chat and enjoy conversations over food and
drinks. The Principal mentioned that WK is home to its alumni and that they
should always engage with the school, including through events.
