Latest Stories - Inter-house Athletics Day a great success!

The Waterford Inter-house Athletics competitions held on Tuesday 15 February saw students and staff come together in true UWC spirit; it was a day thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Teachers, coaches, house captains and staff members from a number of departments in the college worked together to create a teambuilding day that will be remembered for years to come as the first whole school event since early 2020. House captains led their teams in a hotly contested challenge for the spirit trophy.

Members from the school’s sports houses: Guedes, Henderson and Stern cheered for the athletes as they made their way around the field in support of those competing for points. Selecting a winner was not easy. Athletes competed in various field and track events but it was Stern who won a solid victory at the end of the day. The school’s Head of Sports Polly Stapley congratulated the Stern house for coming first I this year’s event. “Congratulations to all competitors, support teams and participants for helping make this day the success and great fun that it was,” she said.
