On Tuesday 21^st January 2020 Waterford officially opened for the year 2020 with an opening assembly.

It was a fully packed assembly as students and staff gathered at the school’s amphitheater. This marked the official day of school for 2020. Speaking during assembly, Principal Stephen Lowry welcomed everyone and said the school believes in the capabilities of its students. “The IB Class of 2019 achieved great results and this is a reminder that the programme may look tough but it is possible to do well at the end. We believe in you; by virtue of being here we know that you will succeed,” he said.
