Latest Stories - Networking Breakfast & Panel Discussion

22 Nov, 2019

On Friday 22nd November 2019 Business Eswatini, working in collaboration with Waterford Kamhlaba and the Higherlife Foundation, held a networking breakfast and panel discussion on: The Social Impact of CSR in Building an Educated 21st Century African Work.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of a significant partnership between Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA and the Higher Life Foundation. For a decade the College and the Foundation have supported each other in providing over 100 highly gifted students from inadequately resourced backgrounds the opportunity to obtain an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and access to a fully paid for United States BA Degree.

It is against this background that Business Eswatini partnered with Waterford and Higherlife Foundation to highlight the opportunities that exist for the private sector in this space, through CSR and the creation of job opportunities for young Africans through a business networking breakfast with a panel discussion. The local business community participated in the event that was hosted by Business Eswatini.

Some of the companies that took part include Inyatsi, Total Eswatini, Standard bank and University of Eswatini. The panel discussion was moderated by Business Eswatini CEO E. Nathi Dlamini who passionately talked about the role played by Waterford Kamhlaba in providing international education to young people who end up becoming leaders for the African continent. He further thanked Higherlife Foundation for supporting African students through scholarship programme.
