Latest Stories - University Fair on Waterford Campus!
On Monday 14th October 2019 Waterford was host to over 19 schools and colleges from 7 countries. The visiting colleges were exhibiting and answering questions from Waterford's IBDP students as well as other students from eSwatini based schools. The fair started at 3pm in the school's Cafeteria and concluded at 4.30 pm. The fair gave an opportunity for students to ask about the various career options in the different colleges.
Waterford Kamhlaba’s Admissions Director and University Advisor, John Storer, thanked the schools and colleges for participating in the event. “The universities were delighted with the turnout, interest and intelligent questions they fielded from our students. Hundreds of students joined us from other schools including Salesian in Manzini and Usuthu Forest in Mhlambanyatsi. The event was followed by a reception for our visitors from overseas. They were wowed by our choir, marimbas and mbira players,” he said.
Fanele Fakudze from The Knowledge Institute (TKI) revealed that her organization specifically registered 85 new students to their database. “We are happy about expanding our community. We also gave out every piece of handout we came with. The interest is quite high from students in International Universities and I hope we can do a similar fair again in the future,” she said.
