Creative Arts
Students interested in the creative arts are well catered for at Waterford Kamhlaba United World College. Students in Forms 1 and 2 receive tuition in Art, Drama and Music as a compulsory part of their curriculum.
After this, these subjects are optional and can be chosen as examination subjects for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diplomas.
Visual Arts
The Visual Arts department is housed in purpose-built facilities. Here, students are encouraged to experiment with a range of mediums and produce varied and interesting work.
Drama
Theatre Arts and Drama are popular subject choices at IB and IGCSE level. All students are given an opportunity to participate in school plays and in individual student projects which take place in the early part of the IB2 year.
Music
Individual tuition in piano, guitar and singing is currently available within the music department. The choir is open to all students and participates regularly in school assemblies and events.
