Situated on a mountainside overlooking the city of Mbabane, the capital of the Kingdom of Swaziland, Waterford Kamhlaba is a United World College whose primary identity and purpose comes from its location in Southern Africa. It has a worldwide reputation for academic excellence and for producing well-rounded students committed to making a difference. Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu’s children and grandchildren were educated at Waterford. The 570 students represent over 50 nationalities and a wide diversity of socio-economic backgrounds. Many of the students can only attend because of scholarship and bursary support. Students are prepared for the Cambridge International GCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Waterford Kamhlaba wishes to appoint appropriately qualified and experienced teachers who are able to teach IGCSE/IB and who accept and support the ideals of the United World Colleges to the following positions:
IGCSE Business Studies / IB Economics (September 2010)
An ability and willingness to teach a mathematics class, whilst not essential, will be an advantage.
IT in a Global Society plus a further humanity, language or mathematics (January 2011)
